Abstract
This article proposes an academic advising process to foster professional conduct among Chinese language majors at Lang Son College. The study used document analysis, reflection on advising practice, and educational modeling. Six domains were identified: responsibility, respectful communication, collaboration, intercultural adaptability, proactive use of feedback, and digital ethics. The process includes four stages: approaching norms, discussing workplace scenarios, occupational experience, and guided self-reflection. Academic advisors orient, organize, connect, monitor, and provide feedback, helping students translate norms into appropriate behavior and improvement plans. Pilot use in advising and internship preparation requires further validation.
Keywords: Academic advising, Chinese language-major students, professional conduct, occupational experience, career readiness.
