Abstract

In the digital economy, high school students engage early in financial activities but face risks due to limited experience and information evaluation skills. Based on the ISO 31000:2018 framework and OECD studies, this article identifies four main risks for students: impulsive spending, online fraud, financial traps, and unexpected events. By applying the risk management process to a practical purchasing scenario, the study asserts that financial risk management aims to foster responsible decision-making, balancing immediate benefits with long- term goals. Consequently, the article proposes practical implications such as budgeting, maintaining emergency funds, protecting personal data, and enhancing financial communication within families.
