Abstract
Against the backdrop of expanding Vietnam–China economic and trade cooperation, demand is increasing for Chinese translation and interpreting personnel with language competence, translation skills, industry knowledge, and professional qualities. However, Chinese translation and interpreting teaching materials used in some Vietnamese universities have not fully met enterprises’ requirements in content, practice orientation, and job relevance. Taking Dai Nam University as a case study, this article employs document analysis, needs analysis, and reflective teaching practice. The data include 121 recruitment texts collected from 2023 to 2025, industry- related materials, and current teaching materials. The findings show that enterprises emphasize terminology competence, business text processing, cross-cultural communication, professional norms, and digital tool use. Accordingly, the article proposes designing teaching materials based on authentic enterprise tasks.
